The skiing in Grimentz is between 1500m to around 3000m and the majority of the 50km of pistes is above 2100m, allowing it to be snow secure. You can experience open pistes to forest runs, easy blues and very steep blacks which most of the time are in excellent condition.<br></br>Backcountry skiing is about getting away from the crowds so you can do your own thing and focus on your skiing and in the Val d’Anniviers, slopes don’t get skied out like they do in larger resorts. We suggest walking with your skis enhances your off piste opportunities and find some hidden gems yourselves.

The village is spread out on quite a steep slope and the skiers accommodation is separated from the old buildings.<br></br>When it comes to rustic charm, Zermatt and Saas-Fee can’t compare.<br></br>The village is incredibly old and the oldest chalet was built in the 12th century so they are black with age. It suits skiers and boarders who like this kind of setting and respect it’s age and history.
